🔵 🔴 🟡 Course description

This course aims to introduce students to the methods and techniques of scientific research. In particular, the aim of the course is for students to get to know and understand the basic principles and mechanisms of organizing a thematic material, converting information into a coherent text and presenting it. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to know and implement a project on the basis of techniques (title, text structure, fonts) and qualitative elements (collection and classification of information, text organization and writing methods, thematic peculiarities, ways and mechanisms of presentation). They will also be able to organize a research field by defining the framework, directions and stages to be followed to complete the work.

Upon successful completion of the courses, students will be able to:

Knowledge

  • describe modern research methods

  • indicate the key features of qualitative and quantitative methods

Skills

  • design/prepare a scientific paper

  • indexing their research material

  • conduct a literature search

  • construct questionnaires suitable for their research

  • correctly compile citations and references

  • manipulate quantitative data, using the SPSS program

  • structure/compose their work correctly

Abilities

  • clearly formulate research hypotheses

  • ensure the validity and reliability of their research

  • choose the appropriate scientific methods in the analysis of the data

  • apply qualitative, quantitative or mixed research methods

  • apply epistemological and ethical principles to the research they conduct as well as to the writing of the paper they prepare

  • evaluate the results of their work

  • present the results of their work
